Club Loading Projection Cube Projection Installation for Club Loading, Victoria BC Project information

Audio Sample of Installation

Club Loading was a short-lived arts space in Victoria BC from 2022-2024. I was asked to create temporary light installation that would allow dancers to retreat from the dancefloor while still feeling part of the environment around them.

Two floor-to-ceiling scrim screens were set up with two projectors, hooked up to my computer and microphone setup. Audio-reactive animations were projected on to the scrim box, which would progressively develop over the course of a 7-hour night.

On display over two nights, guests would see a different projection at different points and depending on what music was being played, creating a dynamic visual experience that also functioned as a refuge for those needing respite.
